What is intermittent fasting? 

There is a hype ( good one) about intermittent fasting improving quality of life, There are different types of intermittent fasting plans for different people. 

Intermittent fasting means that you stop eating food during certain Time duration during 24 hour or Certain days of the week. This does not mean that when you have your regular meal, you eat unhealthy food. You still need to eat healthy food and limited calorie intake during regular eating hours and may drink zero calorie drinks, tea, coffee and lots of water while fasting. Intermittent fasting allows your body to remove toxins and regenerate and heal tissues. Your brain, heart, endocrine system, pancreas, liver, kidneys… all benefit from these periodic breaks in term of calorie intake. 

Some people have couple of the days during the week with only one meal with calorie intake of no more than 500-700, some others have 16 hours fasting and 8 hours regular meal ( healthy and limited calorie intake) everyday. There is another Intermittent fasting with 5 days a month just water fasting. You may choose that when you are away from home on a business trip with limited access to healthy food. 

Intermittent fasting is a very powerful tool to achieve anti-aging goals at any stage of life especially after the age of 30.
